Shadow show of silhouette puppets and props, [ca. 1950-1970].

Shadow puppet theatre designed to specifications of her husband, S. Foster Damon. Includes her silhouette puppets, props, and scenery (handcut, mostly from cardboard and tissue paper) for "Rip Van Winkle" (apparently inspired by the original story by Washington Irving) and "Undine" (apparently inspired by the original romance by La Motte Fouqu'e). Also includes a wooden "stage"; "Sketches from 'The Courtship of Miles Standish'" (with quotations from the original poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow), a booklet handmade by S. Foster Damon in his childhood; and other material relating to the literary and artistic interests of S. Foster and Louise Wheelwright Damon.
